Well friends I am back with another product review. In this review I am going to be discussing EkSel BBQ Grill & Baking Mats. If you are in the market or just curious about this type of product please read on.
The weather was very nasty this 4th of July so my family decided instead of having our normal hamburger and hot dog family get together we would have a meal just the 3 of us. Since we were feeding fewer we felt we could splurge and have a meal a bit higher on the cow, so to speak. We decided to have steak, a baked potato, and salad. This gave us the perfect opportunity to try out our EkSel BBQ baking mats.
We loved the results! Our New York Strip steak was very tender and juicy. My hubby said the grill mats prevented any grill flare ups and also made turning and positioning the steaks a breeze. The only real difference I noticed in using the grill mats and using just the grill was that our steaks did not have the charred grilled look that you see when just cooking on the grill surface.
Now that we know the food was good and the mats performed wonderfully I bet you are wondering exactly how did the clean up go. Well I will tell you, when I saw the mats off the grill I thought their days were numbered. The grease and seasoning as you can figure was really cooked on. I thought what the heck lets just throw them in the top rack of the dishwasher and see what happens. I really expected to have to take them out after the wash and scrub them by hand but to my surprise out they came clean! Yes they were ready to use again. I was both happy and amazed.
Needless to say a few days later we decided to try the mats out once again, this time with some brats. We had the same awesome luck as we had had with the steaks just a quicker cook time this go around. Clean up was once again a breeze and our mats are ready for the next time we are ready to fire up the grill.
I give this product 5 out of 5 stars because I feel it performed as it promised and it has made our grilling life much more simple. I would recommend this product to my friends, family, and anyone else who enjoys a good wholesome grilled meal. If you enjoy grilling but hate fires flaring up, food falling into the fire, or a caked on mess on your grill once the food is done stop stalling and pick up a set of EkSel BBQ Grill & Baking Mats today.
